Milly Grenot

My friend Milly, passed away in the early morning of January 29, 2010, after a short illness. She was a multi-talented artist who worked in oil, watercolor, pastels and made three dimensional collages. She also painted rocks just for fun. She was a pint size lady with a giant talent.

Photographed on her 90th birthday and behind her is one of her oil paintings.

One of her watercolors.

Three dimensional colleges in white.

Painted rocks - some of the last pieces she created.

Milly and I next to one of her collages. This was taken at the reception of the 50th Anniversary Exhibition of the Long Island Craft Guild of which we were both members. The show was at the B. J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, NY.

She was 91 when she left us..

Entry for LICG 50th Anniversary Show

"Contemplation" is beaded collar style necklace on which I have been working for some time. It is the first piece of beaded jewelry that I ever made even though it was the second to get finished. It will be in the Long Island Craft Guild's 50th Anniversary Show at the B. J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, NY. Mid June I will be offering it for sale at CabArray, my Etsy Jewelry Shop.

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.
