I can't begin to tell you how glad I am that we decided to delay traveling for a few days. Our new departure date is Monday, February 8.

In the meantime, it was cold and windy here which makes it soup day on Long Island. I make a soup from scratch that I call Sopa de Peña because my late friend, Susan Peña, gave me the basic recipe.
