Using a surface that does not absorb the watercolor as paper does was a new technique for me.

Meadows in Costa Rica

This is a watercolor of a Rufous-tailed Hummingbird that I painted from a photo I took in Costa Rica. I painted it in two sessions.

This moth was snapped in the forest on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

Escaped!

I took this photo in Costa Rica. The bird is a Spoonbill.

I took these photos in Costa Rica while hiking in the mountains looking for birds. The flowers and the scenery are wonderful.
