Our Western Journey - Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah

This state park is just north and on the other side of the highway from Arches NP.

The mesa on the left is the Monitor and, on the right, is the Merrimack.

View from the point with the salt pans just visible on the canyon floor.

A better view of the salt pans.

On the narrow land bridge connecting the Dead Horse mesa to the main plateau.

The green strip on the canyon floor is the Colorado River.

Our Western Journey - Arches National Park

Some of the arches in the park. The day we were there, the temperature was about 105F in the shade, except there wasn't much shade.

Our Western Journey

We have recently come home from a four week trip to Utah and other nearby states. The following pictures were taken along Rte. 6 and 191, from Salt Lake City to Moab, Utah.
