No. 2 in the September 2016 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

The Barn in Winter
This subject was from a photo I took in upstate New York somewhere along the Thruway between Albany and Utica. The building seemed to be a little worse for wear but still holding up.

The picture is a 6 by 8 inch watercolor painted on cold press paper.

The Second Challenge - September 2016

When I finished the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge in January, 2014, I said I'd do it again however, I didn't really think I would. So, here I am again but better prepared. Before this challenge started I picked out 40 photos I thought would make good subjects for painting. That alone got rid of most of the stress that I experienced last time.

St. Pat's Day Dinner

We are ready to eat - corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes and soda bread. This year it was my friend Doris's turn to make the meal.
