It started out good with this sighting of a Willet who posed on one of the little bridges.
Then the skies opened up, much to our dismay. There were no shelters and, of course, once one gets out into the salt marsh, there aren't any trees to be found. We got soaked but I stopped to take this picture of a Great Egret.
The Yellow-crowned Night Herons were hunkered down to wait it out.
I stopped to take their pictures too; I decided I couldn't get any wetter.
We came home, changed our clothes, and had a cup of hot tea. Then it stopped raining. Tweet

Great pictures, Martha. I love birds and rain.
I love that you stood in the rain, photographing birds. What a nice memory you created, not to mention really neat pics.
