Twined Rug - In Progress

Cutting strips for the twining takes the most time. I wanted to show you the start. You will notice that one works from the ends to the middle on this type of rug.

Beginning close up.

Working from both ends.

Finished and a little riddle...

I finished the loop scarf and I'm quite pleased at how it turned out.

Chenille knotted loop scarf.

And now for the riddle. These little pieces are components for a bead project I'm working on. Can you guess what the are?

In Progress

Started this pastel of the Middle Fork Flathead River in Glacier National Park. I thought it was done but after staring at it for a while I realized there were some glaring errors.

I'm also working on a looped yarn scarf, It's relatively easy to make but time consuming.

You may be wondering about the rug - I'm cutting stripes but expect to start weaving tomorrow. I'll get a picture up as soon as I can.

Twined Rug in Progress

This is as far as I have gotten. It took longer to cut the warp stripes than I thought it would because I had to keep oiling the pinking scissors after cutting every six or seven strips. The strips were about 2 yards long. I used an old but still very sturdy top sheet.

Almost finished.

Warp is finished - now to twine.

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.
