Sandy Aftermath

Can it get worse? Yes.  We could have a Nor'easter.

With thousands still without power, the temperature has dropped to 30°, and it snowed. We have a tad over three inches here in Valley Stream. Over half of the trees around here have their leaves and, most of those, are still green.

I took both of these photos from my front door around 9 PM.

Snow or In Like A Lion

We got 12 inches (30.5 cm) of snow dumped on us over night. It was the first big snow storm of the winter so we can't complain too much. Below is a picture taken from my front door.


We live on a corner and I took this photo out of the dining room window so the intersection can be seen.

And this picture is for Berit, also known on Etsy as clingingimages, so she can see where one of her butterflies hangs out. Neither snow, nor rain can keep him from being nosy about what happens on the street.

Just beat the Storm...

We always go back to Buffalo, NY for Christmas. This year there were so many storms coming through the state that we were not sure we could make it. Fortunately our luck held and we drove up on the one clear day between storms. This photo shows the view of my brother Jeff's backyard the day after we arrived. Tweet
