#6 in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

New Zealand - South Island

This watercolor is 14 by 10 inches (35.6 by 25.4 cm). The subject is a view looking west in the Mackenzie District of the South Island of New Zealand. I painted it from a photo I took while visiting in 2001.

"New Zealand - South Island" - $80.00 It is available in my Etsy shop.

I am finally getting into the swing of this challenge. The first few paintings were very difficult because I had a hard time picking out the pictures I wanted to paint.

New Zealand, South Island - SOLD

I just finished this pastel today. I used Pan Pastels with just a touch of Derwent pastel pencil on 9 x 12 inch Colourfix sanded paper. It was drawn from a photo I took when I was in New Zealand in 2001.

Two Views of the New Zealand Mackenzie District

I finished both of these impressionistic pastels this week. They are small: 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches. I did both of them on sanded ColorFix paper. The first is up for sale at my Etsy shop. I'll put the other up by the weekend.
